Option 2: Watch Every Bathurst Session on Kayo Sports
While 7plus is a solid free option, Kayo Sports is the go-to choice for serious motorsport fans who want the best possible Bathurst 1000 viewing experience. What makes Kayo stand out is its uninterrupted racing coverage during green flags, full session coverage from Thursday through Sunday, 4K Ultra HD streaming, and the ability to switch between driver onboard cameras.
Although Kayo is a paid platform unlike 7plus, you can still stream for free with an exclusive free trial for Telstra customers, or at a low cost through Kayo’s $1 first-month promotional offer.
Here is how to use Kayo’s current deals to watch the Bathurst 1000 free or at a low cost:
1. Telstra Customer 14-Day Free Trial
Are you a Telstra mobile or home internet customer? Great news – Telstra has partnered with Kayo to give you an exclusive 14-day free trial.
- How to claim: Log in to your Telstra account, go to the Rewards / Add-ons tab, and activate your Kayo trial right before Bathurst 1000 race week. Just make sure to cancel before day 14 and you won’t be charged a thing.
2. The $1 First-Month Promotional Offer
Kayo often runs special deals for new and returning users, like getting Kayo Premium for only $1 in your first month.
- How to claim: Visit kayosports.com.au before race weekend to see if any banner promotions are currently running. Signing up for just $1 gives you full 4K access across all four days of the Bathurst 1000, which saves you more than $40 compared to the regular monthly price.
3. Kayo Freebies (Select Non-Race Coverage)
Kayo has a free tier that gives you access to certain content without needing a paid subscription. It won’t show the main Sunday race, but it does regularly air press conferences, expert panel shows, and trackside highlights across the race week.
- How to claim: Head to kayosports.com.au or open the Kayo app, then click “Register Free Now” or “Sign Up” to create a free account with your email. Once you’re in, look for content tiles marked with a green Freebie badge to watch live or on-demand sports right away at no cost.
Kayo regularly updates its promotions, so the deals available can change over time. Some users may qualify for introductory offers, and eligible Telstra customers might be able to access a 14-day free trial. Make sure to check what Kayo is currently offering before you sign up.
